"Following God isn’t glamorous, but it is so beautiful. Your hands will get dirty and your heart will get wrecked, but love makes it worth it."

Chances are someone has said or done something to discourage you recently. Chances are someone hasn’t been there when you needed them. Chances are someone gave you the words you didn’t want or need to hear. Chances are someone didn’t give you the words you’ve been praying for, aching for, begging for. Chances are someone’s given up on you. Chances are you let thoughts convince you maybe they were right in doing so. Chances are you battle the negativity daily, because that’s all some people seem to feed you. Chances are you aren’t the type of person to act like you need or want encouragement or you aren’t the type of person to ask for it. But chances are, you want it. Maybe not in bulk, maybe not the ways others want it, but you do. Even if it’s just small words and gestures here and there. You need it. Chances are you need to be reminded {just like I do} that no matter what the world gives us, good - bad - ugly - pretty, the only way our hearts will feel peace and love is when we focus on the truth God’s love gives us; the truth God’s love did for us. The voice you hear the most is the voice you search for the most. Find that voice. Focus on that voice. It’s sweeter than all else.

And I realized that as much as I want to write, I want to be written about.

"And I pray that you no longer seek happiness from the past, but rather you set your sails forward, to a land that is pure and wonderful. I pray that you no longer stare into the shallows of empty promises, but that you dive into the depth of an ocean of guarantees. May you feel the winds of hope, and smell the scent of joy, may your heart be alive again as it was meant to be. For you are with a better captain, you are with a true sailor, a true leader; You are sailing with Christ, and He is always sure to lead us home."
