Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

Returning to Guatemala

So I know I haven’t posted anything in forever but I just had to share this. Last April I went on my first mission trip to Zacapa, Guatemala and I fell in love with the people, the culture, and believe it or not the unbearable heat. God was everywhere I looked and I have never felt closer to God than I did while on that trip.

Not only did that trip change me but it completely broke me in half, ripped my heart out, shook it a few times, then was slammed back into my chest to continue beating. I mean that in the best possible way.

The little boy I sponsor is at the orphanage there and I am so excited to be able to hang out with him and his little chubby cheeks and shower him with hugs and kisses and wow I might just cry right now. I want to give all my love away to people who have not received enough. I want to be complete spent and wasted and exhausted from giving all my love away. I want to see the smiles and hear the laughter and breathe the beautiful Guatemalan air. I long to see the beautiful sun rises and sunsets and eat tons of mangos and drink Guatemalan coffee. The coffee that puts Starbucks to shame.

I am so ready to be used by God again and to complete give my heart away to people more deserving. I head down May 17-24 and will hopefully be updating my blog at least once while I’m there. If you haven’t checked it out the link is salvagedbygrace.wordpress.com

A little bit of a chocolate and a whole lot of a Jesus.
